2 weeks agoI have been to multiple events and buffets at the hotel and the quality seems to be consistent all the time. Hotel ambiance was simple and kinda old aesthetic but not out of date. Lunch buffets were delicious with wide range of food and exceptional sea food range. All though services may get bit delayed during the buffet rush, team was very attentive towards guests. Highly recommend!

3 months agoLocation: The hotel boasts a prime location, conveniently close to the sea and the One Galle Face Mall. Stay Experience: Our family stayed at the hotel for two days during our visit to Sri Lanka—once upon arrival and again before departing from Colombo. We booked two premium rooms on each occasion. Condition: The hotel shows signs of aging and could benefit from some updates. Cleanliness: Despite its age, the hotel maintains a commendable level of cleanliness. Room Atmosphere: The rooms felt a bit damp, possibly due to the weather or the hotel’s design, with all rooms arranged around a central atrium. The double glazing around the atrium area, intended to isolate noise, may contribute to poor ventilation and dampness. Dining: The breakfast was of good quality and the dinner buffets offered a good variety of food both were reasonably priced. Staff: The staff were exceptional and very helpful, from the entrance to the front desk, housekeeping, and restaurant staff. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Value for Money: Good. Response to Feedback: On our second stay, the staff provided us with better rooms after we highlighted the dampness issue during our initial stay. The hotel even called us after our stay to ask for feedback, depicting that they are receptive and actively seek feedback to hopefully improve guest experience. Overall: The Cinnamon Grand Colombo offers a well-located and clean stay with good dining options and exceptional staff service. However, it might benefit from some refurbishment, and the dampness issue is something to consider.

2 months agoIt's a lovely hotel in a very central location in Colombo. Beautiful hotel, well appointed with excellent facilities. Multiple dining options, a very well equipped gym, all we needed for our stay here! Staff were all incredibly friendly, warm, and hospitable. We felt very welcomed from the moment we arrived till we checked out. The room itself was comfortable, maybe slightly worn, however, and maybe could do with a touch-up. Still fantastic though!

a month agoI recently hosted a birthday party at the Tea Lounge with some close friends & family. Mr Milan was there to oversee everything and ensured that it ran smoothly. We had High Tea, and different varieties of bites were offered on platters. The organization was top-notch. I highly recommend this place.

a month agoI attended an event at Cinnamon Grand Colombo and had a great experience with their conference facilities. While I didn’t stay at the hotel, the service during our event was excellent, with staff always available during tea and coffee breaks. The conference room was spacious, comfortably accommodating over 20 people. The snacks provided were also quite good. The hotel’s interior had a grand, regal feel, almost like being in a mahal, adding to the overall ambiance of the event.
