This place is amazing. It’s even impossible to imagine how such gardens and a city could be built on a rock in 20 years. But I’ll tell you what, they painted it with 500 images of women. very important place from a historical point of view

One of the must visit areas when you visit Sri Lanka. Be prepared to do some gentle or more demanding hikes (options for all levels), plus there's lots of other outdoor activities available. The fortress is great for sunrise, albeit overpriced.

Such an amazing place and a must visit on your trip to Sri Lanka. The views from the top of lion rock are amazing. You do need to be reasonably fit because it’s a long climb up in the heat. Make sure to take enough water because you can’t buy any on your way up.
