4 weeks agoStunning waterfall. Great view of forest from this location. Falling from a hight of about 100+ meters, but not in single instant. Go prepared to take a bath in the pools if you are visiting in summer months. One can also hike carefully to reach various levels of the falls if weather permits. It's on the highway and there seems to be no speed limit, you can see vehicles passing at high-speed; be careful at this point where many try to get good photos and videos. There's no ticket to visit or bath in this falls. Roadside parking available.

a week agoSituated in Ella Wellavaya main road. No safe for swimming and bathing in this place. Sometimes water level is increasing rapidly. Beautiful place. No parking space available. You have to park your vehicle park on the side of the road.

3 weeks agoIt's free. The road to reach this waterfall is absolutely amazing !!! One important tip : DON'T TAKE the "famous" train after the waterfall, going to Ella. All the tourists are taking it, it's crowded and if you don't push people to have a seat, you will have to stand up, not seeing the views and fighting with Russians tourists who just want to hang out of the train to take the same picture as everyone. If you want a nice train experience, take one from Kandy.

4 months agoRavana Waterfall in Ella is easy to reach by bus or car, right by the roadside. It's a beautiful waterfall, but it's not safe to swim directly under it. Instead, there's a special area for bathing. The viewing deck can be busy, but waiting a bit gives you great views. The best part? It's free to enter. 3 months agoThe waterfall is undoubtedly beautiful, as is every other, especially if you are a nature and landscape lover. However, like in any other popular place, expect people for whom taking a selfie sometimes seems more important than safety. There is a sign next to the waterfall stating that over 40 people have already lost their lives trying to take the best photos.
