a month agoWe decided to see what all the hype was about at this restaurant, and we left with mixed feelings. Let's start with the positives. The service was truly exceptional. What added a unique touch was the use of wireless headphones by the restaurant staff to communicate with each other, which added a certain level of sophistication to the dining experience. However, when it came to the food, we were slightly underwhelmed. In the menu at that moment only three options: small, medium, and large crab was available . We opted for the large crab, which had a decent flavor, but we couldn't help but feel that the price was quite steep for what we received. We had previously dined at other restaurants with similarly sized crabs at a significantly lower cost. One redeeming aspect of this restaurant is its commitment to a noble cause. They mention that their profits go to a non-governmental organization (NGO), which gives some justification to the higher prices. In conclusion, if you're looking for a unique dining experience with excellent service and don't mind paying a bit more for a good cause, this restaurant might be worth a visit. However, if you're primarily seeking value for money in your crab feast, you might find better options elsewhere.

a week agoWe had a pleasant dining experience here! Crabs are fresh and have lots of meat. We ordered 2 crabs (1.3 kg each) which are more than enough for 4 people. Chilli garlic flavour is the most popular but they’re not spicy and very buttery. Not too fond of this but others like it 3.5/5 Curry flavour is a bit spicier and more flavourful 4/5 Prawn fried rice 5/5 love the rice but it’s kinda small (portion for 1-2 people) Must get the breads to dip in crab gravy. 5/5 Garlic fried rice 5/5 (for 1-2 people) Pol sambol is great 5/5 Servers are attentive and professional. Price point is definitely much higher than other restaurants. You either know this place from Instagram or other social media. Customers are mostly tourists. We paid close to $600 for 6 adults (our kids don’t eat anything).

a month agoI usually don’t bother with reviews, but this travesty of a dining experience can’t go unmentioned. Despite the sparse negative reviews, I decided to give this place a chance, hoping they weren’t accurate. I was wrong. Don’t be fooled by this establishment. The pictures? Pure deception. The reality? A grossly overpriced mockery of what quality dining should be. We were lured in with hopes of a top-tier meal, only to be served with the sole decent item, an Italian Prosecco. Ordered medium crabs that were supposed to weigh 700-800 grams each? Expect to be served pathetic remnants barely worth mentioning. Their so-called crab salads? Just half an avocado with a pitiful amount of crab. And while the oysters were passable, it wasn’t enough to save this disaster of a meal. Shelled out $228 and for what? The illusion of quality in Colombo. We walked out, wallets lighter, stomachs still empty, and regret heavy in the air. Consider this a warning: steer clear unless you want to throw money down the drain!

3 weeks agoAmbience and staff were fantastic! The curry crab and chilly garlic prawns were tasty but it fell short of my expectation given the hype about this place. Although all seafood was fresh I still felt the price was too high.
