Visited on December 31st night and celebrated the arrival of 2024 there. There was a huge crowd and it was a fantastic experience. The scenic view of Colombo from the top of the tower is breathtaking. The entrance fee is Rs.500 for the locals, and it's worth the price.

Lotus Tower at Colombo is the tallest self-supported structure in South Asia and the tallest structure in Sri Lanka. Unfortunately, it was a short visit for us at Colombo and we could not get inside the tower. I have heard there is a revolving restaurant inside and the views from the top floor are amazing. During the night, the colour of the Lotus changes at the top and it is magnificent to look at. The weather was bad and it was raining and we took a quick photo opportunity to click some pictures of the tower changing the colours. Inside Colombo, the tower is visible from all angles, whichever road you are going on. I have heard that they charge 20$ for foreigners and some 1$+ for locals, which is again a mockery and discrimination towards foreigners.
